I pushed forward alone toward the warehouse, taking out targets fleeing for the entrance. Expecting chemical hazards inside, I masked up just as the power went out. Navigating with my flashlight, I shot a runner and then engaged a figure holding a rifle, only to realize I accidentally shot one of ours.
I was moving through the area now, actively hoping that all the primary targets around here were already down.
I decided to push deeper into the complex completely on my own to see what was ahead.
I spotted someone making a sudden run for the warehouse entrance, but I managed to shoot them down before they could actually make it inside.
Now we were tagging along together and pushing further ahead, as the exterior looked completely clear and I guessed the rest must be inside unless we were already too late.
The outer warehouse area was totally clear, but knowing there could be dangerous chemical hazards inside, we made sure to mask up.
Right then, they cut the main power completely, so we had to toggle on our flashlights, which I knew was going to make navigating the darkness a lot harder for us.
I just noticed someone running around in the shadows nearby, so the moment I spotted them, I fired and shot them down.
I suddenly saw the barrel of a rifle and realized someone was crouching in the dark waiting to ambush me. I caught sight of him first, so instead of rushing in, I carefully aimed and shot his hand before landing a follow-up shot right on his head.
Oh, I felt terrible as that turned out to be one of ours, Sergeant.
