Sergeant Kyle Garrick responded to a critical terror threat near Piccadilly Circus, London. After a white van detonated and gunmen opened fire, chaos erupted in the streets. I fought alongside local police as Garrick, to clear surrounding hostiles, secured a nearby bookshop before getting ambushed while moving downstairs.
The mission moved to London, where Sergeant Kyle Garrick was called into action following news that the terror threat level had risen to critical due to a potential hostage situation. Snipers were positioned around Piccadilly Circus as Garrick and his unit moved in to inspect the area.
Getting out of our vehicle, we began checking the surrounding streets for anything suspicious. I quickly spotted a suspicious white van packed with military-style weapons sitting along the road.
Before we could fully secure the vehicle, the van drove ahead and detonated in a massive explosion, throwing the entire street into immediate chaos. Armed terrorists poured out and opened fire on our position.
Over the radio, team members reported an officer down and called frantically for medical support at Piccadilly Circus. Smoke filled the square, surrounded by civilian casualties and gunfire echoing from every direction.
I recognized this exact moment from the opening sequence of the game.
Taking a hit during the initial burst, I ducked behind cover to recover health before re-engaging. A group of shooters tried to fall back into the nearby subway station, but I cut them down before they could take full control of the entrance.
Armed local police units joined our squad on the street as we pushed back against the remaining attackers.
Spotting several hostiles firing from inside a nearby bookshop, we breached the building to clear them out.
Moving up to the second floor where gunshots were echoing through the hallway, I eliminated the active shooters and secured the upper rooms. Using the elevated windows as a firing position, I began picking off additional hostiles patrolling the square below.
With the room clear, I turned to head back downstairs to support the squad, but ran directly into an ambush on the stairwell, and I died instantly.
