After slaying two frog monsters, I learned their corpses explode into toxic clouds, forcing me to heal near a waterfall. Pushing deeper into the scenic forest, I encountered a crow samurai guarding a keeper shrine. Using my immobilize ability, I defeated the warrior and rested at the shrine to restore my health.
A massive frog monster suddenly leaped out to attack me, but I took it down before it even realized who it was fighting.
Spotting another frog monster just up ahead, I immediately closed the distance. I dodged its initial strike and brought it down as well. Right then, I learned a hard lesson about these creatures. Their bodies explode upon death, releasing a toxic cloud that rapidly drained my health.
Having lost a significant portion of my vitality, I took a sip from my gourd while pausing to take in the beautiful view of the nearby waterfall.
If I had not traveled to this location specifically to fight these beasts, the setback might have broken my spirit, but I was ready to keep going.
The surrounding forest was stunning, looking like the perfect place to capture some special photographs later on. For the moment, I decided to focus on the task at hand and continue my journey.
There were two paths on my way and I knew which one to follow but I still tried the other way to see whether I was missing out anything and I was right, there was a crest with special supplies that I'd miss out if I hadn't check that side.
Moving further in toward the main path, I noticed a warrior guarding a keeper's shrine up ahead. It looked just like the crow warrior I had fought previously under the waterfall.
The crow samurai prepared to strike, but my immobilize ability was fully charged, so I cast it right away. With the enemy frozen in place, I unloaded a heavy sequence of attacks to deal maximum damage.
Despite the head start, the crow warrior managed to land a few solid blows of its own, cutting into my health bar and forcing me to use the gourd again to avoid a fatal mistake. The fight came down to the wire, but I finally dealt the finishing blow and took it down for good.
With the area clear, I approached the keeper shrine to offer incense, save my progress, restore my health, and give myself a well-deserved rest.
All the pictures are take by me, from my gameplay. I took help from the internet for some words/names/locations used in this post.
