Joined with such familiar green!
How happy I enclose them in the shade,
How easily and gently her plan swells!

Oh! so in our solitude
Let's enjoy being happy;
Only the seasons return
Join us in gentle alternation.

They often change our colors
But not our beautiful alliance,
And if we died in winter
So the light of spring awakens us.

Then she smiles, the friend Wiese,
With her flowers new at me;
And I say to my brook: water
Free you again through their plan!

And all the merry singers soar
As our messengers to and fro,
And our dreaming love love
Leaves no more room for wishes.
