Sometimes the best DJs are the ones nobody really knows.
No big marketing machine.
No glossy Ibiza videos.
No influencer aesthetics.
Just sound.
And that’s exactly how I stumbled across this guy.
No real brand.
No big story.
No massive marketing push.
Or maybe that is the story. I am not 100% sure I covered him/her/it already.
Just someone uploading mixes that actually feel like they were recorded by someone who loves the craft.
Check this one:
I’ve been following this guy for a while now. He claims that he mixes everything himself, and honestly the mixes sound exactly like that.
No overly polished studio edits. Just proper DJ transitions.
The style is interesting:
Exactly the kind of sound carpets I expect from a proper DJ set. Knowing that @edje might not like that one - eventually too commercial
Listen to this one:
What really surprised me is the consistency. Usually when you follow DJs online, you quickly find mixes that feel weak. Here? Not really.
So far I haven’t found a single mix I didn’t like — and if you know my background with Techno and Trance you know that means something.
Another example here:
What makes this even more interesting: I still have no real idea who he actually is. Berlin scene maybe (the flag on his Insta indicates someting British. Or just someone recording sets at home. His Instagram gives a few hints but not much:

And honestly I like that. No hype. Just music.
One mix I particularly liked is a set inspired by music from fellow German Hans Zimmer. You may not know his name immediately, but you definitely know the movies he scored. That combination of cinematic sounds and techno works surprisingly well.

For me that’s exactly what I expect from TechnoFriday:
Good music.
No marketing circus.
Just someone who clearly enjoys mixing.
