What's your opinion on females who put on ankle-chains?
In Nigeria today, putting on ankle chains is common among females, most of them call it fashion but, is it just a mere fashion or there're hidden meaning behind it?
Most people believe these females who put on ankle-chains are either into lesbianlism or prostitution. Just like some fratenities use some specific colours to identify themselves, people also believe this ankle chains serve the same purpose amidst these females. While I was in school, I took a small sample of them, the way they dress and how they lived their life; party,ostentacious lifestyle and clubbing was common and so I understood what their ankle-chain stood for. Eight out of every ten Nigerian girls who put on ankle-chain is either into prostitution or practising lesbianlism, the remaining two percent are either ignorant or put it on as fashion. I believe wearing of ankle chains is common in india and also associated in some tribes in Nigeria ( leg beads worn by royal families) but you can spot the difference in the type of ankle-chains these modern fashionistas put on.
