I don't know the history of what happened in Tifton back then, but there is a Unionville on the south side of town and Old Union Road from there to down near Adel.

Just west of Valdosta there is a town called Troupville. I'm sure it had something to do with the war.

And speaking of Valdosta, there is a town inside of the city named Remerton. That's where Doc Holiday is from.
