Pennsylvania: American experts say that if children run away from fruits and vegetables, try a recipe in which half of the traditional food in the children's plate and put vegetables and fruits in half. This can make children more attracted to fruits and vegetables.
Although the suggestion of fruits and vegetables in every diet of children has long been included in the US dietary guidelines, children are not attracted to it. Now experts are advising that if the baby has meat, rice, burgers or cheese on his plate, remove half of it and replace it with fruits and vegetables.
In the other way, the amount of food was kept the same, but when fruits and vegetables were kept together, it also had its benefits.
By having fruits and vegetables along with the full amount of food, children started eating 24% more vegetables and 33% more fruits. But when traditional foods were reduced and fruits and vegetables were replaced, the best results were achieved, with vegetable consumption increasing by 41% and fruit consumption by 38%.
The study was conducted by Barbara Rolls, a human anesthesiologist at Pennsylvania State University. She says the results of the research are very encouraging. Filling half the plate with fruits and vegetables in the new scheme does not waste food in the first place and children are inclined towards a healthy diet. If there is a failure, try changing fruits and vegetables.
Like the rest of the world, Pakistani children themselves cut down on fruits and vegetables and now parents can make their children's diet healthier by following this method.
