Perth: After 12 years of research, Australian experts have revealed that high blood pressure between the ages of 20 and 25 can be a precursor to many mental illnesses that occur in old age.
It should be noted that the best normal blood pressure is 110/70. Although 120/80 blood pressure is slightly higher, it is still considered "healthy".
High blood pressure is considered "high blood pressure"; As the risk increases, so does the risk to health.
For the study, they analyzed more than 2,000 brain scans from 686 healthy people between the ages of 44 and 76.
Health records of all of these individuals, including blood pressure, were also available, which were obtained at least four times over a 12-year period.

Using blood pressure and brain scans, when the experts estimated the mental age of each of them, it was found that the volunteers whose blood pressure was slightly higher than the "most suitable" in their youth were 120/80, half. At that age, their brain age was also seen to be six months higher than those with 110/70 blood pressure.
The brains of those with high blood pressure in adolescence were even older in middle age.
