I have a friend who is from the same city and country from me, we are both from the heartland of America. But when he went to college he met a woman at a football game overseas on this trip. The trip he was taking was in Hungary, which inspires me to travel abroad with his stories that are hard to believe. Things like, you can eat a steak dinner for the same price of a big mac meal over there. I love telling people about these things my friends tell me and then going back to check what they are saying, to see if it is true. Things like the GDP and the rate of exchange for all the currencies, these can be confirmed by the hotels and prices.. (Or at least, that's part of my method.) Like in Hungary I checked for the 4 and 5 star hotels and was coming across motel prices. I'll add some actual photos, if anyone has any reviews to share please comment and follow me and I will follow back. I am not only new to steemit but blogging is new for me, I just recently picked up a book by a guy named Hugh Hewitt while shopping for groceries at one of those discount stores. Haven't cracked it open yet, not sure if it holds any value. (but eh, why the heck not its just a book).
Aside from the book, these are images of a special place called queens court hotel and residence. It comes with wifi, a spa, pool access, airport shuttle, and family rooms. The cost of the first room I "booked" was for tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. ( nothing to fancy, but not to shabby either.) I was excited to see these rooms and this is an actual room, the very first hotel I seen was much better than this and much cheaper, but it wasn't in the capital of the country either. There is this thing called numbeo, it just happens to be the site I was on at the time of the composition (attempt at organizing random thoughts on one particular subject.) This is one of those sites that provide a service to show you the cost of living in another country, good things to look into, outside of the laws and customs of the subject nation (this case Budapest, Hungary.)
I was absolutely blown away as not even a novice, but a virgin traveler without a passport I will be getting mines this summer and encourage everyone to do so. ( I see many tramp stamps in my passport's future) ;)
Normally Hungary isn't a place I think of when thinking of traveling. But when it comes to places like this, the only expensive part is the travel. But from looking at multiple places that are cheap to live, I have come to the conclusion the world currency is just like it sounds, ONE world economy. Like how in the states we got states they have many economies, but I never understood world wide economy quite like this until comparing the prices of things. A pack of cigarettes might be more expensive in New York than in Kansas, and this is in one country. But in a cheap place like the Philippines a pack of a particular brand might be the exact same as in Kansas and in London the same price as New York. ( A theory I am putting to the test, of making more theories and proving them or disproving them.)
