Some time ago I answered to interesting but misleading thought, as for me.
It was the post on geektimes about Ethereum hardfork and my vis-a-vis propagated opinion of necessary the technicians to become politicians in order to solve social problems more effectively. And The start point should be the Network constitution, where should be definitions for "good" and "bad".
But my opinion is different.
We should begin not with the constitution. Attempt to start from that point led us to a modern democracy. We should begin with understanding - in mathematics there is no definition of "fine" or "bad", "good" and "evil", there is only rules matching something to something else. After all, if with some theorems can be proved that the intervals between 3 points form a straight line - it's not considered, in principle, as "good" or "bad"? Only in a certain context it acquires a further assessment.
We should begin with the automation of processes devoid of context, involves the assessment of the disputed properties. The fact that anyone can pass to another person a kind of incarnation of values - is not "good" or "bad", just have such an opportunity. Although, I'm sure, the leaders of the same VISA believe that it is bad for VISA - they lose the market in the long run, but for the average person - it is rather a "good" - there is another version of the solution of the existing problem. Objectively it does not matter what opinion has VISA manual or an ordinary person. Their opinions do not change the fact that this solution exists, and it works.
There are no technical solutions for political problems. But for technical problems, born of political problems - there are. These solutions can be so graceful that cast doubt on the general validity and existence of "political problems".
