When I first began my crypto journey on some social platforms that support and reward cryptocurrency assets, coins, and tokens, the first thing that came to mind was having a pen name that I could use. At first, I considered using my real name, Haidee, but later realized that having a pen name is essential. There are other reasons why I prefer not to use my real name. First and foremost, I wish to remain anonymous. I don't want people to follow me or connect with me on my personal social apps, such as Facebook.
And because I used to enjoy posting daily contents in noise.cash and read.cash, and as my circle of friends grew in those forums, I had a change of heart and thought, why not introduce yourself anyway, why not let them know your real name? Furthermore, because Facebook has a 'locked your profile' feature, you can still choose who can see your profile.
To cut a long story short, when I first joined the first platform, noise.cash, I simply used the alias Usagi.
During the first few months of using this alias, everyone kept asking if this was really my real name. Because I still had trust issues at the time, I just kept telling them it was my real name. Until the moment of truth, I'd made a lot of friends there who I also consider my brothers and sisters. Some of them are also present in Hive. I introduced myself as Haidee, my real name, at that time.
I also registered as Usagi on numerous platforms. And in order for them to know that I am the same Usagi they are speaking with, I tend to write this on my Bio: "It's me, the one who loves the moon, celestial bodies, nature, and Pro-tographer." So yeah, if a Usagi popped up in your notification and followed you, that's me.
Anyway, when I arrived in Hive, I simply decided to use @Usagidee so that they could easily assume I was the old user they were talking to in noise.cash and read.cash.
By the way, due to my studies and workloads, I decided to left this platforms and just focus here in Hive. 🙈
