can't agree more.
My point is simple. For mass onboarding we have to accept picture content.
IMO that was what I brought up some time ago, is adding besides upvote a like button.
Super simple. And rename hive to support/donation. So everything becomes more clear. I can like content but don't want to reward it.
Sure you can upvote it for 0,1%, but it is for average users not the same.
If we look in the future. Hive will be able to increase blocksize at some point.
So hive would become at this point more valuable.
This would mean to my understanding we can start today reduce inflation by a huge factor or adding yearly events to reduce massively.
Fewer hive rewards don't mean less $ rewards. It would simply reduce the amount of hive get dumped.
Someone can earn 10$ and its 50 Hive or can earn 10$ and its 0,5 hive (+ maybe HBD depending on price).
The User experience would be pretty much the same, as long they can use it.
Delegating Rcs would on the other side mean an end-user never needs hive. It's the gas in the background.
They can play with their second layer tokens and Hive becomes the gov token, you can earn, but not that easy.
And as an Investor, if I could delegate my Rcs to a Dapp with my own token, that attracts a lot of users and generate revenue (advertisements, products, ingameitems, ...) and i would get some Tokens for it, i would do it.
The sell pressure would move away from Hive to second layer Tokens that generates revenue.
( this was the first I think about first I read about Smts, that's also a reason why I'm here. This is a huge thing)
I have no statistic for it, but I'm sure most hive that is earned is dumped on the market.
I see no negative impact.
With reduced Hive inflation, we can also think about reducing Investor % in Hive and reward with HBD. Would be the same. And indirect people that want the Hive, can purchase/convert it with the interest.
So stacking would allow getting constant returns.
With changes like this, I would expect a massive price increase. Also a much higher user experience.
Developers from Dapps that attract users/revenue, don't need to purchase hive. They simply allow people to delegate for revenue share tokens. The market would be much more open. With a cool interface, I can imagine a huge market that can be there.
Things would become from complex to simple. Investors like simple.
About onboarding: with changes like this, we could rethink the process and make it also more efficient.
Idea behind:
people need Rcs to transact.
Rcs come from Investors and should generate Returns.
So spam should be not the problem. Because if spam happens, simply remove the delegation.
Maybe with an expiring date, so if a huge stakeholder loses the keys, the delegation expires after some time (could be shown up on the marketplace).
