100% agreed on this, the idea that owning a house is some sort of requirement or achievement, after which you can then proceed with the rest of your life, is bananas!
For many in the next generation the idea of owning a house is going to be out of reach anyway depending on what country they reside in.
It's an education thing, if you came from a lower income family the idea of owning a house is put on a pedestal, which sadly for the better informed is a phallacy. There are some obvious exceptions tbf.
These days owning a house is right up there with a college degree.. not worth as much as many people think it is!
