How are you anime lovers? 馃樃馃樃鈽猴笍 I want to share my review and opinion of a gem of an anime, which most of us have seen and is quite famous and beloved, I'm talking about Neon Genesis Evangelion 馃樇馃樇
驴C贸mo est谩n los amantes del anime? 馃樃馃樃鈽猴笍 quiero compartirles mi rese帽a y opini贸n de una joyita de anime, que la mayor铆a hemos visto y es un anime bastante famoso y querido, estoy hablando de Neon Genesis Evangelion 馃樇馃樇
Many of us already know what this anime is about, however I'm going to give you a little summary. The anime has 26 episodes that were first broadcast between October 1995 and March 1996. In parallel, the manga was being edited since December 1994. Due to the fame obtained, various spring-offs were soon created, including film series and video games that complement or offer an alternative reality of the story.
Muchos ya conocemos de que trata este anime, sin embargo les voy a dar un piquito de resumen. El anime cuenta con 26 episodios que fueron transmitidos por primera vez entre octubre de 1995 y marzo de 1996. En forma paralela se estaba editando el manga desde diciembre de 1994. Debido a la fama obtenida, pronto se fueron creando diversos sping-off , entre los que se incluyen series de pel铆culas y videojuegos que complementan u ofrecen una realidad alternativa de la historia.
The series begins in the year 2015 AD, fifteen years after the first disastrous contact with mysterious beings known as Angels, which resulted in a worldwide cataclysm called Second Impact that halved the human population on Earth. To prevent future Angel attacks, the UN established the Nerv organization in Tokyo-3, which developed a series of giant biomechanical vehicle models called Evangelions (EVAs) to combat them. Because the Evangelions can only be piloted by teenagers, Nerv's leader, Gendo Ikari, enlists his estranged son, Shinji, to pilot Evangelion Unit 01 to destroy the third Angel attacking the city. Though Shinji initially refuses to cooperate, he eventually agrees upon witnessing his father's seemingly cruel act of forcing the badly injured Rei Hayanari to pilot the Eva. Aboard the Evangelion, Shinji is knocked unconscious shortly into the battle, but the Eva suddenly acts on its own and destroys the Angel. Afterwards, Shinji adjusts to his new life on Tokyo-3, living with Captain Misato Katsugari as his guardian.
La serie se inicia en el a帽o 2015 de la era cristiana, quince a帽os despu茅s del primer y desastroso contacto con unos misteriosos seres conocidos como angeles, que result贸 en un cataclismo a escala mundial llamado Segundo impacto, que redujo a la mitad la poblaci贸n humana en la Tierra. Para prevenir futuros ataques de 谩ngeles, la ONU estableci贸 en Tokio-3 la organizaci贸n Nerv, la cual desarroll贸 una serie de gigantes biomec谩nicos llamados Evangelion (EVA) para combatirlos. Debido a que los Evangelion solo pueden ser pilotados por adolescentes,el dirigente de Nerv, Gendo Ikari, se comunica con su distanciado hijo, Shinji, para que pilote la Unidad 01 de los Evangelion, y acabe con el tercer 谩ngel, que se halla atacando la ciudad. Aunque al principio Shinji se niega a cooperar, acaba accediendo al ver el acto aparentemente cruel de su padre de obligar a la malherida Rei Hayanari a pilotar el Eva.A bordo del Evangelion, Shinji es dejado inconsciente al poco tiempo de comenzar la batalla, pero s煤bitamente el Eva act煤a por s铆 mismo y destruye al 谩ngel. Tras eso, Shinji se adapta a su nueva vida en Tokio-3, viviendo con la capitana Misato Katsugari como su tutora.
After these events, each pilot had to train hard, to prepare for what was next (I won't give any more spoilers 馃き馃き). Although Evangelion is a work of art, there are several factors that make this anime a true gem, because the creator of this put everything he had into the project and it paid off by becoming a mere phenomenon that continues to give something to talk about today; For me this work is like Shingeki no kyojin, both show many points of view on the conflicts of humanity and the attempted conflicts they experience when decisions have to be made that have to do with the future of a country, the entire world and how it relates to ethics and morals, while Evangelion shows a world fighting for survival, which should be unique and teenagers who have not lived even a quarter of their lives, bear the crushing weight of defending humanity, while adults manipulate and use them to fulfill their own objectives, thus demonstrating how cruel humanity can be to those who not only give their body but their mental health and life to save a humanity, which assumed in so much war, selfishness and fraction, deserves its mere extinction, because neither in Shingeki no kyojin nor in this anime, humanity is completely united and even more, history repeats itself, only the protagonists change, but the result is the same.
Despu茅s de estos sucesos, cada piloto tuvo que entrenar duramente, para prepararse para lo que segu铆a ( No dar茅 m谩s spoilers 馃き馃き). Si bien Evangelion es una obra de arte, existen varios factores que hacen de este anime una verdadera joyita, pues el creador de esta puso todo lo que ten铆a plasmado en el proyecto y bien que di贸 sus frutos al convertirse en mero fen贸meno que hoy en d铆a sigue dando de que hablar; Para m铆 est谩 obra es como Shingeki no kyojin, ambas demuestran muchos puntos de vista sobre los conflictos de la humanidad y los conflictos intentos que experimentan cuando hay que tomar decisiones que tienen que ver el futuro de un pa铆s, del mundo entero y como se relaciona con la 茅tica y la moral, mientas Evangelion muestra un mundo que pelea por la supervivencia, el cual deber铆a estar 煤nico y adolescentes que no han vivido ni la cuarta parte de su vida, cargan con el aplastante peso de defender a la humanidad, mientas adultos los manipulan y utilizan para cumplir sus propios objetivos, demostrando as铆, lo cruel que puede ser la humanidad con aquellos que no solo entregan su cuerpo sino su salud mental y vida para salvar a una humanidad,que asumida en tanta guerra, ego铆smo y fracci贸n, merece su mera extinci贸n, pues ni en Shingeki no kyojin ni en este anime, la humanidad se une por completo y m谩s a煤n, la historia vuelve a repetirse, solo que cambia los protagonistas, pero el resultado es el mismo.
Evangelion was definitely ahead of its time and touches on many taboo subjects in society. Besides having a lot of movies and material to watch, beyond that, it's an anime that makes you reflect on what we support and the cost it has on history. I truly recommend this anime 馃榿
Evangelion definitivamente estaba adelantado a su 茅poca y toca muchos temas tab煤es de la sociedad, a parte de tener muchas pel铆culas y material para ver, m谩s all谩 de eso, es un anime para reflexionar sobre aquello que apoyamos y el costo que tiene sobre la historia. De verdad recomiendo mucho este anime 馃榿
