Hive Music Festival Week 156 Round 3: Blue Bird Recorder Cover

How is everyone here? ☺️ Welcome to another anime-style music section 😁. This time I want to share my interpretation of Blue Bird, one of Naruto's iconic openings. I hope you like it. 🤗🫶🏻

I must admit that I haven't seen Naruto😅 however my younger brother did like it a lot and before we had the habit of watching the episodes together when they were on television. That's where I discovered this great gem of an iconic opening, and the song was so catchy that I played it on a separate recorder that has a very nice motivational message and these days watching Tik tok I came across a video with the song in the background and that motivated me to finish arranging it to record it and the result was simply wonderful🎼.

Debo admitir que no me he visto Naruto😅 no obstante mi hermano menor si le gustó mucho y antes teníamos la costumbre de que cuando pasaban los capítulos por televisión los veíamos juntos de allí fue que conocí a esta grandísima joya de opening tan icónico, y fue tan pegadiza la canción que la saqué en flauta dulce aparte que tiene un mensaje motivacional muy bonito y en estos días viendo Tik tok me salió un video con la canción de fondo y eso me motivó a terminar de arreglarla para grabarla y el resultado fue simplemente maravilloso🎼.

All this started by listening to the track many times and there I was able to make it as close as possible to the original. I also saw videos on tiktok of the notes but I was not completely convinced since I wanted to do it in the original tone of the song. This way I was able to add some bridges and the occasional ornament in my own way. I was thinking of using the alto, then I gave up on this idea since the timbre that best suited the song and the message it has was the soprano and the arrangements I had planned to make also suited the soprano, so I had to record quite a few times but everything turned out well.

Todo esto empezó escuchando muchas veces la pista y allí pude realizarla lo más parecido posible a la original también vi videos en tiktok de las notas pero no me convencía del todo ya que quería hacerlo en el tono original de la canción de esta manera pude colocarle unos puentes y uno que otro adornito a mi manera, estaba pensando en utilizar la contralto después desistí de esta idea ya que el timbre que le quedaba mejor a la canción y por el mensaje que tiene era la soprano y los arreglos que tenía pensado hacer también le quedaban era a la soprano, entonces tuve que grabar bastantes veces pero todo salió bien.

Definitely making this cover motivated me to resume a forgotten project I had of taking openings and endings of anime that I've seen and I really liked, such as Inuyasha, among others, so I will most likely make that collection and some others I made a very good arrangements. I think taking songs by ear and perfecting it is one of the most effective methods to train and educate the musical ear, in this way it will be a little easier for us to be able to identify complicated sounds such as diminished minor triads, dissonances, among others and in this way we will be able to improvise a little easier, because yes, for improvisation you need the intensive and exhaustive study of the sounds, specifically of the minor and major scales, of the tones and precisely the ear is a key tool to be able to perfect these types of techniques.One of the biggest lessons I learned from this project was being able to change keys quickly. For comfort and sound reasons, I had to lower the song to the key of A minor. I thought I was going to hear things wrong, but the result was quite the opposite, and this way I was able to better explore and experience the arrangements and embellishments I wanted to make.

Definitivamente realizar este cover me motivó a retomar un olvidado proyecto que tenía de sacar openings y endings de animes que he visto y me han gustado mucho, cómo lo fue el de Inuyasha, entre otros, así que muy probablemente haga esa colección y uno que otros les realicé un muy buen arreglo. Creo que sacar canciones a oído y perfeccionarla es uno de los métodos más efectivo para entrenar y educar el oído musical, de esta forma se nos va a hacer un poco más fácil el poder identificar sonidos complicados como lo son las tríadas menores disminuidas, las disonancias, entre otras más y de esta manera podemos improvisar un poco más fácil, porque sí, para la improvisación se necesita el estudio intensivo y, exhaustivo de los sonidos específicamente de las escalas menores, mayores, de los tonos y precisamente el oído es herramienta clave para poder perfeccionar este tipo de técnicas.Uno de los mayores aprendizajes que me dejó este proyecto fue lograr cambiar de tonalidades rápido, por motivos de comodidad- sonoridad tuve que bajar la canción al tono de La menor, pensé que sí iba a escuchar mal pero el resultado fue todo lo contrario y así pude tener una mejor exploración y experiencia de los arreglos y adornos que quería hacer.
