Greetings to everyone! It's always a pleasure to be able to contribute to this amazing community. Brother Eli takes us on another spirit lifting episode on the MCGI indoctrination series. It has been quite a blessing from the first day up until today, which is the fourth day. Every minute spent in this session is life changing.
As humans, we can't avoid disappointments in life. Disappointments can come in various forms and from different people. They can come from our colleagues at work it at school, they can come from our neighbors, they can even come from our brothers, sisters, parents and every other relative of ours.
It is in our human nature to disappoint. But there's someone who has never disappointed and who will never disappoint, and that is God. God will never forsake those who believe and trust in Him. Trust in God is never a waste if time.
As a matter of fact, it is the best choice you can ever make. Phillipians 4:6 encourages us to bring all problems to him. How we do this is by prayer. The act of bringing petitions and request before God is prayer. We bring these things to Him because we know fully well that we can't do them by ourselves.
Is there a particular time that we should pray only? Luke.18.1 gives us an answer to this question. It says:
And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint.
Prayer is a continuous event. We can never reach a point in prayer that will make us to close the chapter of prayers. Many people make the mistake of praying only when they are faced with problems. When those problems are no more, you won't find them praying anymore.
We should pray at all times, 1 Thessalonians puts it in the simplest form for us. We pray when things are good and when they are not. Most times, the prayers we make when things are good help sustain the situation at that time and prevents it from turning the other way round. Thank you for your precious time.
