Domestic Violence
The devil is responsible for putting hate in the hearts of men. In him there is no love, nor is there peace. But with God, we are assured to find love. He is the true definition of the word "love." That's why He admonishes husbands to love their wives the same way they love themselves.
God gives out this commandment in the Book of Ephesians, chapter 5, verse 28. No one in his right mind would hurt himself. God expects husbands to treat their wives the same way the husband would treat himself. The last thought that should go on in a man's head is hurting his wife. As a matter of fact, he shouldn't have that thought at all.
Often when Apostle Paul talks about the church, he refers to it as the bride, while he refers to God as the groom. So when God tells a woman to submit to her husband, he's also telling the church to submit to Him. And when He tells a man to love his wife, He says so because His heart is full of love for the church.
So when a man shows love to his wife, aside from obeying God's commandment, he is indirectly showing an expression of God to His church, and this pleases God. God is incapable of hating his bride, the church. His love for his bride is undying. This is the same manner of love a man should possess for his wife.
Why then do men beat on their wives? Nothing else can be responsible for such action except the devil. He is the one that poisons the hearts of men to make them behave in such a manner. He hates it when he sees a peaceful home. He likes causing disunity, the same way he caused it between Adam and God in the beginning.
A man beating up his wife is indirectly being used as an instrument of Satan to carry out his bidding. The book of James, chapter 3, verses 15-16, tells us that the devil is a dweller of where strive, confusion, envy, and every form of evil are. Wherever you see an unhappy home, just know that the devil is actively present there.
Brother Eli gives a possible cause why a man would beat his wife, and the cause could be that the man has found another woman outside. The devil derives joy in doing this because he wants everyone to be lost just like him. His earnest desire is to see man turn against God.
The Book of Ephesians, chapter 2, verse 2, brings to our knowledge of a spirit that walks in the hearts of children of disobedience. That spirit is on an assignment given to him by his master, which is no one other than the devil. He is the reason why a man would have the thought of raising his hand against his wife.
The spirit of God is a requirement for a happy home. No woman deserves to be maltreated by any man. The love of a husband is what his wife deserves. God bless the entire MCGI family! God bless brother Daniel Razon! And God bless brother Eli Soriano!
