No-one owns colours per se - but the so called 'illuminati' and satanic cults are said to view gold/red/black as their colourscheme. Presumably for power, blood and darkness or something similar.

I totally agree about being self sufficient. @dan's idea of 'make government irrelevant' is as timely as ever.
