[#49020] I've been dating this guy for about two months now. I'm the type of person who communicates a lot via text or messenger, but he rarely does that. We're both quite busy and don't get to see each other more than once per week. We have great interactions in person, but on the days that I don't see him, I miss him and want to message him and check in on how his day has been etc. And so I do, but the responses I get are very short and it doesn't seem like he wants to keep the conversation going with me. When I asked him why, he said he does not text often, which I understand. But for someone like me who is so used to communicating often via text, I don't know how to deal with it. I'd really like us to communicate more but he doesn't seem to want to budge. I'm not trying to change him, but I'm hoping for some kind of compromise from the both of us. I really do like this guy and want this to work, but don't know what to do :( Any advice?
