This is the best time for me to upgrade my cards to higher levels because it makes them more powerful; this eventually improves my in-game performance and leads to better rewards, as battling with higher-level cards increases the chances of getting better loot. I unlocked Division 6 last night; while the rewards were quite basic compared to what one gets for unlocking Division 8, a reward is still a reward. I didn't spend anything other than my time—and since I was entertained while playing, what I received was great. Following that, I upgraded two common cards to Level 4 again today.
Today, let's level up two cards; the first is the Water element's Surgeblade. This is a 5-mana melee attack card that I had already upgraded to Level 3; at that stage, it boasted a solid 3 melee attack power, along with 1 Armor, 3 Health points, and 3 Speed points. While the Health might seem a bit low, the Armor provides a degree of protection. Additionally, the card possesses two abilities: 'Charge,' which allows it to attack from any position in the lineup, and 'Reveal,' which exposes enemy 'Camouflage' cards. Overall, while not overwhelmingly powerful, it is a strategically sound card for low-mana battles; now upgraded to Level 4, it has gained a +1 Armor boost. I would have preferred a Health upgrade, but this is a welcome improvement nonetheless.
The second card that leveled up today is the Earth element magic attack card, Stonebind Matron. While this card isn't specifically for low-mana battles, its status as a magic card allows you to use it strategically in other matches, and it certainly won't disappoint. I say this with confidence because, looking at its stats, it boasts 2 magic attack power, 6 health points, a speed of 5, and the 'Opportunity' ability. You might consider 6 health points—especially without armor—to be on the lower side, but its speed places it among the top-tier cards; furthermore, the 'Opportunity' ability gives it the power to target the enemy with the lowest health. That is why I said this card won't let you down: with a bit of strategic play, it will likely knock out one or two enemy cards before falling itself.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
