When I call these "awesome cards," I truly mean it. While they might seem ordinary at first glance, the role they play in my game is praiseworthy. Iβm not claiming they are the absolute best cards out there, but there is no doubt they are solid. In Splinterlands, it isn't just Legendary or ultra-powerful cards that shine; success depends on the type of battle, the opponent's element, the active rulesets, and the mana cap. When you consider all these factors, you realize that even seemingly modest cards can deliver game-changing impact.
The first card here is the Death element magic attack card, "Gravebrand Warlock." With a mana cost of 8, this card boasts a powerful magic attack of 3. Although its base speed is extremely low, it possesses the "Swiftness" ability, which grants a +1 speed boost to all cards on the team; this raises its speed to 2 points, making the low base speed less of an issue. However, there is another drawback: its health. While it had 5 health points at Level 2, this increased to 6 upon upgrading to Level 3. I usually place this card in the lineup as the second magic attacker, ensuring it is not in the last position. By positioning it somewhere in the middle of the lineup, it remains largely protected from direct attacks while being able to launch continuous attacks against the enemy.
The second card being upgraded today is the Dragon element's ranged attack card, "Dragonfang Lancer." It comes at a relatively low mana cost, and its attack power reflects this, offering a ranged attack of 2. However, its other stats are superior to the previous card; it boasts a base speed of 3 and 5 health points, supplemented by 3 armor. Furthermore, it possesses the "Opportunity" ability, which excels at targeting the enemy card with the lowest health. I prefer not to place this card at the front of the lineup; instead, I aim to position it second-to-last. I choose this spot because the last card is often targeted by enemies with the "Sneak" ability; by placing it second-to-last, it remains somewhat protected while successfully launching attacks against the enemy for at least 2β3 rounds.
I am earning quite a few Glint rewards in the current Modern Battle season. Although I was very busy all last week and have some more work over the next 2β3 daysβpreventing me from playing as actively as Iβd likeβI have still managed to earn a significant amount of Glint. I am hopeful that by the start of the next season, I will be able to purchase not just one or two, but three Legendary cards.
Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!π₯
