This journey hasn't been easy at all—though I am certainly enjoying it. However, the amount of DEC I’ve spent on this could have bought me a Legendary card from the Arcana set, or two Legendary Scrolls to unbind Legendary cards I already own; either option would have been a better long-term strategic move, especially since I haven't really earned much from playing in Wild mode so far. I know it’s just a game and should be treated as one, but with that mindset, I’m considering what makes the most sense for the long run. One reason my earnings are nearly half of what they are in Modern mode might be that I started in the Bronze league in Wild and am still playing in the Silver league, where Glint rewards are significantly lower than in Gold league. Presumably, once I unlock the Gold league, my in-game rewards will improve—though for now, that’s just speculation. Anyway, now that half the season has passed, I’ve finally unlocked Tier 1 of the Silver league in Wild mode.
This is undoubtedly an achievement, considering I have played over 150 battles to reach this point—maintaining a win rate slightly above 56%—but the difficulty level has now ramped up. I am facing far more pro players than before; their high-level cards and formidable strategies for handling any situation make winning difficult. I may need to spend some more DEC to rent better cards, as reaching higher ranks without a pro-level mindset will be extremely challenging. Upon unlocking Silver League Tier 1 today, I received better welcome rewards compared to the previous tier, consisting of 6 minor and 3 major chests. I used both Legendary and Alchemy potions while opening the two chests; the Alchemy potion never used to work anyway, but this time, even the Legendary potion failed completely, and I received just one Legendary potion, two entries, a little over 200 Merits, and a common Arcana card.
However, unlike minor chests, the rewards from opening major chests were actually quite good—not necessarily in terms of card copies, but regarding the rewards themselves. In these three chests, I received seven Legendary Potion charges in one, five entries in the second, and a common grey melee attack card in the third—a card I’ve already upgraded to Level 2 and am close to upgrading to Level 3. All in all, while I’ve always been 100% disappointed with Alchemy Potions, Legendary Potions do come in handy sometimes, which is definitely a plus. I had hoped to earn at least 150k Glint this season since I need to buy two Legendary Draws at the end of it; given the snail's pace I've moved at so far, it's hard to predict the outcome, but by renting a few more cards and tweaking my strategy, I’ll aim to finish the season somewhere within the Gold League.
