Splinterlands: Purchased 5 Legendary Draws and 500 Alchemy Potions at once for the first time!🔥

Just yesterday, I mentioned that during the last season, I achieved several milestones in Splinterlands—breaking many of my own records—which included not only stellar in-game performance but also my largest-ever haul of Glint rewards. Having earned so much, I naturally had to do some "shopping." In the process, I set two new records, one of which was purchasing 500 Alchemy Potions at once—something I had never done before. This purchase cost me a total of 49,500 Glint. To put the scale of this amount into perspective: just a few seasons ago, that figure would have represented my entire earnings for an entire season! But this time, it was nothing short of a miracle—I earned a total of 500,000 Glint, meaning this expenditure on Alchemy Potions accounted for only 10% of my total earnings. By purchasing 500 Alchemy Potions in one go, I received an additional 10%—an extra 50 Alchemy Potions—after which I moved on to the next item on my shopping list.

These items are 'Legendary Draws'—acquiring them marks a new personal record for me, as I had never purchased more than three at once before. This was the first time I bought five in a single go, which cost me a total of 350,000 Glint (at 70,000 Glint per draw). As planned, I also used 'Alchemy Potions' while opening them. Since each Legendary Draw requires 20 Alchemy Potions, I used 100 in total for these five draws. I was hoping that at least one of the five cards would turn out to be a 'Gold Foil' Legendary card. However, I didn't set my expectations too high; even though I’ve consistently used Alchemy Potions, I have only ever pulled one Gold Foil card from the 'Arcana' set—and that was just a few days ago. So, while I included the Alchemy Potions as part of the process, my past experience left me with very little expectation of a positive outcome.

The results confirmed that my mindset was spot on—out of five legendary draws, not a single one was a gold foil. In fact, it was so disappointing that I even questioned why I’d purchased five legendary draws at once; whenever I’ve bought fewer draws in the past, I’ve consistently pulled excellent cards. I ended up with two copies of a truly lackluster card called 'Halo Wisp'—it felt like 140k of my Glints had gone to waste. That said, I did pull three other cards, all of which I already have in my deck; it’s quite possible that some of them are now ready for a level-up. For context, these three cards—'Savaketh' (a Death-element magic card), 'Kervik' (a Water-element melee card), and 'Kaori Matsune' (a Neutral/Grey-element magic card)—are ones I use in my battles almost daily. They perform exceptionally well, especially 'Kervik'; while its low health is a weakness, if you position it strategically within your lineup—tucking it away a bit—its damage output can be devastating to the opponent. Moving forward, I’m planning to set another record by purchasing the largest batch of Common or Rare cards I’ve ever acquired—stay tuned for an update on that, likely coming tomorrow!

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
