I have been battling on Splinterlands since 2021, and in these 2+ years, I have never—truly never—enjoyed the game as much as I have this season. This isn't just because of the rewards; there is more to it, and that is what I am going to talk about today.
A couple of seasons ago, there was a major change to the league and tier-climbing system in the 'Modern' format. In short, leagues and tiers were replaced by 'brackets' and 'divisions.' Simply put, these brackets allow you to choose your preferred difficulty level, as each bracket imposes limits on the rarity and level of the cards that can be used. For instance, when I play in the 'Modern Silver 3' bracket, there are maximum level caps for cards: level 5 for Common, 4 for Rare, 3 for Epic, and 2 for Legendary. This means you cannot use cards that exceed these levels within this bracket. In a way, by selecting the right bracket, you can—to some extent—adjust the game's difficulty to suit your preference.

You can think of divisions as rating levels that you climb through. This change improved my in-game performance; regardless of whether I’m playing in Division 3, 2, or 1, I can rest assured that my opponents won’t have cards at levels higher than the established caps for Common, Rare, Epic, and Legendary rarities—which makes the game significantly fairer. Because of this, I truly enjoyed the game throughout the entire season, which kept me active the whole time. I poured all my energy into it right up until the final hour, playing a record-breaking 370 battles in a single season. Just imagine—370 battles over a 15-day season averages out to about 25 battles per day! And the best part is that I enjoyed almost every single one of them (with the exception of a few where I suffered repeated, crushing defeats). As a result, I also earned my largest-ever seasonal reward: 500k Glint.

I had never earned this much Glint before—not even across two full seasons combined; it was truly incredible! As for SPS earnings, I managed to secure 151 SPS from Modern Ranked Battles this season, along with approximately 94 from Brawl Battles. At one point, my win rate in the game reached 70%, but upon reaching Division 4, the opponents became so skilled that my card collection couldn't keep up. I started losing several battles in a row, and by the end of the season, my win rate had dropped to 56.49%. Still, that’s quite a solid figure—I’ve ended seasons below 50% in the past, and, frankly, my highest-ever closing win rate has only been around 61% to 63%. All in all, this has been my most spectacular season yet, and I’m hopeful that things will only get better from here. Starting today, I’ll begin spending all this Glint; I’m planning to purchase 5 Legendary Draws, along with a large number of Common and Rare Draws. Given the sheer amount of Glint I have to spend, I’m looking forward to leveling up quite a few of my cards this season!

Splinterlands isn't an easy place, but that's what makes it even more fun. A perfect strategy takes into account many factors, including stats, abilities, rulesets, mana caps, and more. That's why it's even more important to consider all these factors when developing a strategy. Add good cards to your deck, but also work on improving your strategies, and strive to win as many battles as possible!🔥
