That monster is the legendary Dar 'Gottem' Gearnut from the Conclave Arcana promo card set. Until now, I have always encountered this card being played against me—a matchup in which I have consistently lost nine out of every ten battles. Consequently, my overall experience with this card has been quite negative. Initially, the card wasn't even available on the market; however, when I spotted it there a few days ago, I decided to make it a part of my own deck. Given its mind-blowing stats—particularly its high Health and decent Melee Attack power combined with the Trample ability—I suspected it would be an expensive card, though I had no idea just how expensive it would turn out to be. Upon recently checking, I discovered that the price for even its base level is around $19; as a result, I decided to rent it for a while to put it to the test. Currently, there isn't a single rental bid below 14.5 DEC for a Level 1 version of the card; however, I managed to rent one just two days ago for approximately 10 DEC per day.
The reason I didn't tell you about this sooner is that I wanted to play a few battles with it first and then write about it, incorporating some of my reviews and observations. I currently possess only the Level 1 version of this card, which boasts 2 Melee Attack Power, 3 Armor, an impressive 20 Health, and 2 Speed. Additionally, it features the "Trample" ability, which grants the card the freedom to perform a second, identical attack on the next enemy card immediately following a killing blow.
Over the past two days, I must have played at least 5 or 6 battles using this card, and through those experiences, I have grasped a few basic yet crucial points:
Although this Legendary card can serve as an excellent tank, the safer strategy is to place it in the second position—behind a card possessing the "Flank" ability in the first position—provided, of course, that you have sufficient Mana available.
It is highly beneficial for your team composition to include a Healer alongside this card in your lineup; this allows you to restore a portion of its health in every round, thereby granting your team's other attackers ample time to launch sustained, heavy assaults against the enemy.
While this card undoubtedly makes for a capable tank, it is not a strong enough attacker to be relied upon as your primary damage dealer. Therefore, do not be dazzled solely by its massive health pool; ensure you also make room for some heavy-hitting attackers within your team.
Additionally, one point I haven't been able to test yet is that I believe this card could perform exceptionally well under the new Eggceleration ruleset. However, since I haven't tested this aspect yet—along with several other similar points—I will conduct these tests and share much more information about this card with you in the future.
