I want to keep the Steemit acquisition very high-level. I'm a long-time Tron holder, not a Justin Sun apologist, but someone who genuinely enjoys the Tron community and platform. To be honest with you, it's not easy within the crypto community to voice an appreciation for Tron or even mention it without being blasted by many. Much of this is warranted by the antics of Justin Sun (which some would argue is genius), but what makes Tron so great at the end of the day -- the community.
With all the rivals in the crypto community, the platform is surging, not because of JS but because the community is so strong and has taken it upon themselves to truly make it a fun and usable platform. The whole purpose of these blockchains are to use them and with Tron that's a reality due to the functionality and people in the community. The picture below shows Tron holding 5 of the top dapps on dappradar.com, and 13 dapps of the top 25.
The Tron Telegram Channel has 87,632 subscribers at the time of writing, all of which are welcoming the Steemit Community and hoping to collaborate, teach and learn from each other. The account growth on the main net has seen a steady increase and continues to grow at a rate of roughly 6,000 new accounts per day on TronScan (chart below).
All of this means that there is a huge opportunity for Steemit to expand even further by the large and very active community that Tron will bring. I'm looking forward to being a part of your community, and you being a part of ours. I'm not the most technical of users but have been around for awhile and there are a lot of exciting things on the Tron platform (staking!) that I would love to share.
