Mothers are such solid beings that hold the family together in one unit.

They may be going through a whole lot and yet bury their emotions just so they can be strong for everyone else.

They take most of the heat yet, warm up to all with so much love.

It is beautiful to have you write about your mother on her 70th birthday and speak of all her great deeds.

And like you said, we don't have all the time in the world, so we must make do with what we have and celebrate our parents while they live.
