... very venomous, but this was taken with a 18-105mm zoom at a safe distance. The Borneo Lowland Rainforest are among the worlds oldest rain forrest, estimated at 130-140 million years old. But much of Borneo’s forest are being torn down to make way for Palm Oil Plantations. This leaves a lot of animal species in search of new habitats to call home. In all we saw over 20 different types of animals within our 3 day trip to Danum Valley Field Center, some of which are unique to Borneo.
