I've seen this used by another steem user successfully and you know me... ehm... I had to test the theory.

It seems one of the ways to attract attention from top steem users and getting their upvote is simply adding their usernames into the post.

Some of more experienced steemians use notification services and they get notified when their name is mentioned in a post or comment and surely they will check it out. The question is: is the post I saw taking advantage of this opportunity?
Sometimes there is a good reason to include another steemians name in the post, like when the topic is #homesteading, @papa-pepper Is the first name I can think of. (smart way of including names) But what if the topic is "I'm in need of some upvotes"?
It's an interesting thought, let's test it shall we?
