let's consider a scenario:
you have some steem power and your vote is worth something, every now and then you'll get too busy with real life and don't get much time to spend your voting power that maxed, what is the fastest way to put your VP into a good use?
Up-voting a whole bunch of random posts from your feed to get those sweet curation rewards. But how do you maximize your profit from them?
it's simple, you'll find the posts that have the least number of votes and are past the 30 minute mark because, a post that's 30 minutes old gives the maximum possible curation reward (25%) and...
according to the graph above if you be the first up-vote after the 30 minutes, you'll get a huge reward.
but if there's one up-vote before you, you'll get 60% less.
2 up-votes before you 80% less.
3 up-vote before you 85% less and so on
for a pro steemian who plays the curation rewards game, a post loses it's appeal after five or six votes. the author loses that valuable vote for sure.
so next time you post you'll know this little checkbox:
costs you 60% chance of getting a bigger curators vote.
that guy who up-votes all of your posts immediately costs you another 20% chance.
and all of those 0.01 votes you'll get out of those bots will cost you almost every chance to get the votes that matter.
guess what, you just paid for your post to be ignored by active users.
No, even though I personally think the possible 50 cent profit you'll get from bots are not even worth my time, profit is profit. you just need to learn how to best play each of those bots before using them, in my opinion the best time to use a bot is after 4th day and before 7th.
