Hola bellas mujeres en esta comunidad, empezando con @syllem que con este tema sobre las vacaciones me lleno de nostalgia, porque ahora las vacaciones no son como antes, que no las pelaba cada año al salir de clases, pero ya desde la penultima vez que fui hace 14 años, salir a unas seria como la primera vez, pero no pierdo la esperanza de que volvere a tener unas buenas vacaciones y dignas de nosotros. Pero si las vacaciones implica muchas cosas incluido principalmente los gastos: pasaje, hospedaje, comida, paseos. Mis vacaciones pasadas casi siempre fueron a Cumana en Venezuela, porque ahi vivia una tia, ya con esto me ahorraba el hospedaje, me gustaba mucho por las playas y la accesibilidad a ellas, que hasta en bus podiamos ir, con nuestras cosas, que nos dejaba a unas cuadras pero ibamos felices.

Ya en la playa como ibamos a disfrutar, alla mismo comiamos, nada de llevar hecho de casa, porque de eso se trata las vacaciones de disfrutar y olvidar la rutina de la casa. De niña viaje en muchas vacaciones con mi abuela, ya que fui la primera nieta y mi abuela tenia un espiritu aventurero, creo que lo herede de ella je je, con ella conoci mas que con mis padres: fui a Margarita, Cumana, Puerto La Cruz, Barcelona, con mis padres: Caracas, Trujillo.

Pero tengo la esperanza de cuando estemos mejor conocere mas primero de mi Venezuela, porque con tantos Hive que viven aquí, tendre donde llegar, no creo que me digan que no de pernoctar en las noches, porque cuando uno sale de vacaciones la idea es pasear no quedarse dentro de la casa, para eso me quedo en la mia ja ja ja, pero es importante donde pasar las noches para descansar y guardar las cosas.

Yo si me planifico, porque sera que como siempre he sido asi de organizar, planificar todo, anotar, registrar lo que se va llevar, no me gusta el exceso de equipaje. Cuando viajaba sola, estaba soltera igual me planificaba antes del viaje mis padres me daban carta blanca, es decir me daban para los gastos antes del viaje, luego durante el viaje. Ahora con mis hijos como somos mas, los gastos son mas, pero la hemos disfrutado.

Eso si ya una vez que se para donde vamos, empiezo a sacar cuentas y a reservar lo de los pasajes de ida y de vuelta, si llego a casa de un familiar, reservo lo del apoyo de los alimentos, aunque igual comeremos algunas veces fuera. Lo de los paseos a lugares en la ciudad destino, porque no todo es playa, me gusta ir a museos, plazas, centros comerciales, cine no puede faltar.

Cuando ya veo que los fondos o sea el dinero ya se va terminando, ya es hora de regresar, pero con la felicidad de que esos dias se disfrutaron. Hello, beautiful women in this community! Starting with @syllem, who—with this topic about vacations—has filled me with nostalgia, because vacations aren’t what they used to be. I used to look forward to them every year when school let out, but since the second-to-last time I went on vacation 14 years ago, going on one now would feel like the first time all over again. Still, I haven’t lost hope that I’ll have another great vacation—one that’s truly worthy of us. But vacations involve a lot of things, mainly expenses: travel, lodging, food, and sightseeing. My past vacations were almost always to Cumana in Venezuela, because an aunt of mine lived there—which saved me on lodging. I really liked it because of the beaches and how easy it was to get to them; we could even go by bus with all our stuff. The bus would drop us off a few blocks away, but we were happy just to be there.

Once we were at the beach, we were ready to enjoy ourselves. We ate right there—no bringing food from home—because that’s what vacations are all about: enjoying yourself and forgetting the daily routine. As a child, I went on many vacations with my grandmother, since I was her first granddaughter and she had an adventurous spirit—I think I inherited that from her, hehe. I got to see more places with her than with my parents: I went to Margarita, Cumana, Puerto La Cruz, and Barcelona; with my parents, I went to Caracas and Trujillo.

But I’m hopeful that once things get better, I’ll get to know my Venezuela better first, because with so many Hive members living here, I’ll have places to stay. I don’t think anyone will turn me down if I ask to stay overnight, because when you go on vacation, the idea is to go out and explore, not stay cooped up inside—I can do that at home, ha ha ha. But it’s important to have a place to spend the night so I can rest and keep my things safe.

I do plan ahead—I guess it’s because I’ve always been this organized: planning everything, taking notes, and keeping track of what I’m going to bring. I don’t like traveling with too much luggage. When I traveled alone—I was single at the time—I still planned everything before the trip. My parents gave me free rein; that is, they gave me money for expenses before the trip and then during the trip. Now that I have my kids and there are more of us, the expenses are higher, but we’ve still enjoyed it.

That said, once we’ve decided where we’re going, I start crunching the numbers and booking our round-trip tickets. If I’m staying with a relative, I make arrangements for food, although we’ll still eat out a few times. As for outings to places in the destination city—because it’s not all about the beach—I like going to museums, plazas, shopping malls, and of course, the movies are a must.

When I see that my funds—that is, my money—are running out, it’s time to head back, but with the joy of knowing that I truly enjoyed those days.
