Today I show a cool DIY idea for use in the garden or at the dacha.
The beauty of this handmade product is its cheapness and effectiveness.

Let's do useful things from useless ones!

From last year, I still have a test prototype of a crate for a water bag made on the basis of an old shower tray. After a season of successful testing, it is worth repairing the structure and making it more solid.

The task is to build a structure that will hold 300-500 liters of water in a plastic bag. I need this for watering the plants in my garden. I pump water from the river with a powerful jet pump, so I need a tank to store water.

First you need to attach the side rib of the structure by replacing the rusted bolt with a longer one.

There was only one like this, and it had to be leveled first.

We twist until it stops.

Next, I mount the old wooden shield on one of the side walls.

Remove a little extra and it fits here like a native.

Then we rotate this rectangle around the garden, nailing the rest of the sides of our receptacle with nails.

Grandmother is the main gardener in our family.
Although she visits us only on weekends, with her rich experience she leaves garden tasks for the whole family for a whole week馃槙

And of course, I didn鈥檛 even start repairing the water tank for a week. Now I have to work under the displeased mother's glances))

... back to work.
Due to the lack of a wide board, I had to resort to cheating and use two slates as side walls.

This is necessary so that the weight of the water in the bag is restrained not only by polyethylene, but also rests against the walls of the structure, preventing the bag from tearing.

From the leatherette upholstery of old school mats, we make a gasket between barbed wood with nails and a pressurized bag of water

20230514_143427.jpg

To make sure everything is secure, I first decided to test the design on last year's plastic bag. I placed it inside and began to draw water.

20230514_150219.jpg

The structure tensed, emitting several characteristic creaks, but remained unbreakable.

20230514_151428.jpg

When filling with water, I found a small leak, which was expected using old polyethylene.

Now I'll have to solder a new bag and make another useful #DIY post. Material for a new bag already purchased.
