Maple belongs to honey plants. It begins to bloom by the end of April. The flowers can be yellow, green and red.
After flowering, fruits are formed within 6 weeks. The maple fruit resembles propellers, only small. They are called winglets.
It is even strange that such small yellowish-green flowers emit such a strong attractive smell. It is because of it that bees rush to the maple tree to collect sweet nectar and pollinate the plant. It turns out that maples are very important for bees. Therefore, they are planted next to apiaries. Maple pollen is liked not only by bees and other insects, but also by squirrels.
