With this insane explosion of new players I want to show everyone how you can start small and grow into something amazing with the play to earn model. All you need is patience and discipline.

I started playing again with my @unialpha account. I fully reset the account. ZERO RANK. ZERO CARDS. ZERO DEC.

Here is where I stand after 1 hour of play.

First Few Matches

I spammed Fire Splinter and let Living Lava and Serpentine Spy do all the work.

After I got my first quest reward (7 DEC) I went and rented some cards. Here is what I picked up for less than 1 DEC per day.

Next Quest

Now that I had a few more cards rented I went after my next quest of 5 Snipe Wins... EASY.
7 Matches later and I had that quest wrapped up too. I still used fire as my main splinter and let Mantoid help me get those Snipe Victories. I even got a little tricky and went death on a few battles.

And now I'm done for the day. I don't want to eat up all my ECR. The Energy Capture Rate (ECR) limits how much DEC each player earns from each Ranked match win. Every Ranked battle played reduces your ECR and it regenerates over time. At 50% ECR you will earn half of the DEC for a win as you would if your ECR were at 100%.

So until I get new quest rewards tomorrow I'll take a break. This also helps me not climb the ladder too fast and run out of deck power. Which will happen very fast for new players.

But wait there's more...

Blogging about Splinterlands can earn you SPT. SPT can earn you more DEC... SOOOOO... any SPT that I earn from these blogposts I can put into my @unialpha account. That's fair right? You gotta start somewhere. Be patient and let the DEC come to you. :)
