Today was a pretty uneventful day. No potion buys, no gold foils. Just a simple death quest and a nice reward card.
When playing at this rank monsters with 2 attack are king. People usually put tanks up front and range in back making the Untamed Death Summoner Contessa L'ament a smart choice for quick quests. Took me 10 battles to finish today's quest. Not ideal but the 1 draw gave me a +50% win ratio for the day.
See how she nerfed this fire splinters plans. And in this battle you can see what a difference having those 2 attack monsters in the back make. Sometimes though it really is just a gamble. You'll have to rock, paper, scissors your way through your quests at this level. And some matchups are just a guaranteed loss.
Today's chest gave me a nice lil Reward card, Dark Ferryman.
Only worth about .80 on the market and it will only fetch .1 DEC a day in rental. But it's better than nothing.
So after 1 week of play let's look at the value of this collection.

Overall I would say that if you want to make money in Splinterlands you gotta have a little luck and a lot of patience. Definitely make more money earning minimum wage here in the US but that's no fun.
