Many people believe it takes a massive amount of effort to achieve incredible success; therefore they only wait for their "big idea" to hit them with a flash of inspiration before starting something. However, waiting for that inspirational moment can actually be counterproductive, where as true transformational change over time occurs by taking small steps in a calm, steady manner through a series of "micro-habits".
A "micro-habit" is the smallest of things to perform daily, that would feel impossible to avoid such as: writing only one sentence daily, reading only two pages from a book daily, and doing only five pushups each day.
The cumulative power of doing these minuscule repetitions creates an enormous mental shift:
*Eliminate Resistance: Doing such small tasks avoids the everyday "friction" that is present when trying to start doing anything; therefore, one has no choice but to get started.
*Create a Core Identity: Similar to developing your physical strength/body muscles through exercise, you will develop your psychological (or mental) strength by establishing a new belief/identity and affirmation of "I am a person that follows through".
*Compound Growth. If you continuously improved 1% each day over the course of a whole year, you would experience growth that would have exceeded 37 times.
Don't wait for a large, life-changing moment, do one small daily action and allow the compound effect of that action to create positive changes in your life!
