My favorite range is the Opal range in Kananaskis, it has such awesome rock formations and views (which I'll be posting more from). This hike with some friends up to grizzly peak had some excellent step slopes on approach with many optional scrambling routes to make on route.
Morning views as the sun casts out over the range. Perfect for a hike
The trail comes and goes in places, as the rock and grassy slopes braid out since it is so steep in places, you just make your best footing you can find.
This whole slope had avalanches away likely in the early spring, about 1m of soil just slid off the mountain! Crazy.
No shortage of great photostops though.
I'll take the scrambling route please, some fun spots here.
