I guess you thought I would present to you some macro-economic aspects of the Napoleonic Wars, or how the advancement of gunpowder gave rise to taxation, or something like that. BUT NO! This world is vast, and every man a role to play (willingly or not). And this eve, I present you mine. It has fallen upon me to present this brilliant joke, with Napoleon as an economist:
Unimportant officer - "Emperor Napoleon! The enemy are moving North!"
Napoleon - "Surely, you must be joking. That is impossible!"
Unimportant officer "No, my Emperor, the scout reports are all in unison."
Napoleon - "But how can they afford a house in this economy?!"
I am so, so sorry.
