Did you know cardinals mate for life? (As well as bald eagles, wolves, swans, some penguins..) Male cardinals bring their female mates food and feed them beak-to-beak. The couples sing duets to each other. It is thought to be good luck when you see a red cardinal. Some people also believe that cardinals are spiritual messengers.
