Acredito que muitos de vocês devem se lembrar da famosa Lucille, o taco de beisebol mais temido de The Walking Dead. Em Splinterlands nós temos o Jared Scar, um hipopótamo (sabiam que hipopótamos são um dos animais mais perigosos do planeta?) bem assustador que utiliza uma arma muito parecida para tocar o terror em seus inimigos.

Hoje eu quero compartilhar com vocês uma batalha mostrando o potencial ofensivo imenso que esta carta possui e compartilhar algumas dicas de como utilizá-lo da melhor maneira possível, eu espero que vocês gostem!

Primeiro precisamos falar sobre as características básicas desta carta. Seu principal foco é causar dano e para isso ele possui desde o primeiro level 5 Dano Corpo a Corpo e a capacidade de amplificar suas estatísticas com a habilidade Bloodlust . Seu custo de mana é mediano/alto e suas estatísticas defensivas são medíocres. A armadura protege pouco e sua vida é pequena se comparada ao seu custo, além disso sua velocidade também deixa muito a desejar.

Ao considerar que ele é bem fraco em todas as outras características, você pode se questionar se realmente vale a pena utilizar esta carta, e a resposta é talvez. Se a partida favorecer bastante a escolha do Jared Scar e permitir que ele possa ser posicionado adequadamente através de regras como Melee Mayhem , Super Sneak ou Equal Opportunity então você pode considerar utilizá-lo pois se ele conseguir ficar vivo tempo suficiente para eliminar 1/2 alvos e ativar os buffs do Bloodlust , então você já terá uma carta muito mais forte fazendo parte do seu time.

A partir do level 3 o Jared Scar se torna uma carta muito melhor pois a habilidade Piercing resolve o maior problema do dano físico, possibilitando que ele consiga quebrar a armadura do inimigo e causar o dano restante em sua vida. Isso facilita muito na ativação do Bloodlust e permite que o Jared Scar se torne um inimigo temível após um ou dois abates. Além disso a True Strike impede que ele erre seu ataque, portanto você precisa apenas mantê-lo vivo até chegar sua vez de atacar.

A principal forma de mantê-lo vivo é o bom posicionamento mencionado acima utilizando algumas regras que o beneficiem, mas além disso você também pode utilizá-lo com regras que aumentem a sobrevivência geral das cartas como a Equalizer . Vamos observá-lo em uma partida para entender melhor como utilizá-lo adequadamente.

Para este confronto eu resolvi colocar o Jared Scar na segunda posição para servir como tank secundário após a morte do Lord Arianthus e visando defender minha equipe dos Sneaks a Chaos Knight foi colocada na última posição. Também é importante mencionar que a velocidade dela é maior que a do Jared, permitindo que ela diminua a vida do inimigo e aumente as chances do Jared Scar eliminá-los.

Observe que o oponente também escolheu o Scar para o seu time, entretanto a minha composição estava preparada para se proteger contra Sneak , já o time inimigo estava totalmente vulnerável aos meus ataques. Logo no primeiro turno o Jared Scar pegou seu primeiro abate e recebeu seu buff do Bloodlust .

Na segunda rodada ele conseguiu eliminar mais um inimigo e ativou novamente seus buffs. Agora suas estatísticas já são altas o suficientes para torná-lo um perigo muito grande, pois ele já é capaz de sobreviver à alguns ataques por estar com vida e armadura elevados e causa 7 de dano por ataque. Tudo continuou se repetindo e o Jared Scar foi eliminando a cada rodada uma carta do oponente enquanto o Scar inimigo não conseguia eliminar a Chaos Knight por causa da habilidade Shield .

Na quarta rodada chegou a vez dos hipopótamos se enfrentarem, porém era uma batalha extremamente injusta já que a minha carta já havia eliminado 3 cartas e estava muito mais forte que o oponente. Apenas uma tacada foi suficiente para eliminar cada um dos seus inimigos, transformando assim o Jared Scar o vencedor e MVP desta partida.

Assistindo esta partida fica fácil perceber que o Jared Scar possui muito potencial ofensivo, entretanto é preciso utilizá-lo em uma situação muito ideal, caso contrário ele será facilmente derrotado sem conseguir ativar seu Bloodlust . Em resumo:

Utilize-o em partidas com regras que permitem atacar das posições traseiras e/ou que aumentem a chance de sobrevivência, posicionando-o de maneira protegida para garantir que sobreviva o máximo de tempo possível, aumentando suas chances de ativar Bloodlust .
A partir do level 3 seu conjunto de habilidades se torna perfeito por eliminar os maiores problemas do ataque Corpo a Corpo então considere utilizá-lo neste level caso esteja na liga gold ou superior.

Seguindo estas dicas eu tenho certeza que ficará mais fácil utilizar este hipopótamo em suas partidas, podendo ter a sensação de como é ter o Negan como seu aliado (não sei se isso é algo bom).

Today I want to share with you a battle showing the immense offensive potential that this card has and share some tips on how to use it in the best possible way, I hope you like it!

First we need to talk about the basic characteristics of this card. His main focus is dealing damage and for that he has from the first level 5 Melee Damage and the ability to amplify his stats with the Bloodlust ability. Its mana cost is medium/high and its defensive stats are mediocre. The armor provides little protection and its health is small compared to its cost, in addition to its speed it also leaves much to be desired.

Considering that he is pretty weak in all other traits, you might wonder if this card is really worth playing, and the answer is maybe. If the match greatly favors the choice of Jared Scar and allows him to be positioned properly through rules such as Melee Mayhem , Super Sneak or Equal Opportunity then you might consider using him because if he manages to stay alive long enough to eliminate 1/2 targets and activate the Bloodlust buffs, then you will already have a much stronger card on your team.

From level 3 Jared Scar becomes a much better card because the Piercing ability solves the biggest problem of physical damage, allowing him to break the enemy's armor and deal the remaining damage in his health. This makes activating Bloodlust a lot easier and allows Jared Scar to become a fearsome enemy after a kill or two. Also, the True Strike prevents him from missing his attack, so you just need to keep him alive until it's your turn to attack.

The main way to keep it alive is the good positioning mentioned above using some rules that benefit it, but in addition you can also use it with rules that increase the general survival of the cards like Equalizer . Let's observe it in a match to better understand how to use it properly.

For this confrontation I decided to put Jared Scar in the second position to serve as a secondary tank after Lord Arianthus' death and in order to defend my team from Sneaks Chaos Knight was placed in last position. It's also important to mention that her speed is higher than Jared's, allowing her to decrease enemy health and increase Jared Scar's chances of eliminating them.

Note that the opponent also chose Scar for his team, however my composition was prepared to protect against Sneak , as the enemy team was totally vulnerable to my attacks. In the first round Jared Scar got his first kill and received his buff from Bloodlust .

In the second round he managed to eliminate one more enemy and activated his buffs again. Now his stats are already high enough to make him a very big danger, as he is already able to survive some attacks because he has high health and armor and causes 7 damage per attack. Everything kept repeating itself and Jared Scar was eliminating an opponent's card each round while the enemy Scar couldn't eliminate Chaos Knight because of the Shield ability.

In the fourth round, it was time for the hippos to face each other, but it was an extremely unfair battle since my card had already eliminated 3 cards and was much stronger than the opponent. Just one shot was enough to eliminate each of his enemies, thus making Jared Scar the winner and MVP of this match.

Watching this match, it's easy to see that Jared Scar has a lot of offensive potential, however you have to use him in a very ideal situation, otherwise he will be easily defeated without being able to activate his Bloodlust . In summary:

Use it in games with rules that allow you to attack from the rear positions and/or that increase the chance of survival, placing it in a protected way to ensure it survives as long as possible as long as possible, increasing your chances of triggering Bloodlust .
From level 3 your skill set becomes perfect by eliminating the biggest melee attack problems so consider using it at this level if you are in the gold league or higher.
