One of my favorite times of year as a winemaker, harvest in the Northern hemisphere. Getting to walk the vineyard, sample the fruit and create expressions of the vintage into wine. While enjoying the beautiful colors that winemaking offers the world.

Colour extraction

Producing Gewurztraminer, a German grape into a white wine from a slightly redish grape offers beautiful pink Rose wine when pressed. Although, if you've ever drank a bottle, its more often that golden yellow crisp white wine. Due to the grapes' lack of protein colour stability, it looses it's rosy hue after ferment is complete.

  • Common Tasting Notes
On the Nose: honey suckle, florals, lychee
On the Palate: spice, stone fruits, honey, lychee and rose water
Sweetness: Range from sweet to dry.
