LAZY YOUTH
After my stressful day at work, I decided to stop by and eat at one of the famous Ibadan restaurant. I ordered for a plate of Asaro(Yam porridge), a bottle of Coke and Water.
While I was eating, I heard a voice from the sound system connected to the TV set, I thought it was Uranus TV channel (My favorite Online TV) but it wasn't, it was a popular tv station you all know. The voice said "...Nigerian youths are lazy..." and Immediately I was lost of appetite and so I abandoned the food having taken less than ten spoons. I drank my bottle water and picked up bottle of coke.
I called the waiter to help pack the meal in a "Take home pack".
That statement was the most fascinating statement have heard in a decade, so I left the canteen for my house.
On my way home, I was resonating about these statement and I wondered what it meant.
I got home safely and rushed into my room, took my notepad and I decided to define that statement.
I came out with a fantastic acronym of LAZY youths.
L- LITERATE
A- AMAZING
Z- ZEALOUS
Y- YOUTHFUL
I see Nigerian youths making research everyday, building careers and making a difference in their various businesses.
I see a wide and massive growth of young entrepreneurs who are getting set to change the face of the world.
Yes! I agree, we are lazy youths because we have chosen to learn actively which makes us LITERATES. We are lazy youths who decided to recreate our mindset which makes us AMAZING everywhere we represent our country. We are lazy youths with the mindset of making the world a better place which makes us ZEALOUS and above all, we are useful in our society which makes us YOUTHFUL.
Let me amaze you with these words. I just got the full meaning.
Lazy youths can be defined as a group of LITERATES in a nation that potrays an AMAZING attitude with a ZEAL to change the world making them YOUTHFUL and useful.
