When Company directors are appointed, resolutions of same are to be filled in Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). It is an offence for a company to presents a person as a director without such person being appointed as director. It is punishable with a fine of #1000 for each day the company held out such fake director.
See section 244(4) of Companies and Allied Matters Act.
