My friends bf lives in India and when she goes there was just one time the grocers charged her double. You can see how tempting it is as it was only £2.50 more to my friend but her bf got really mad about it and walked back to the shop and requested the woman paid it back. I think in India they just have a spiritual concience on the whole of being fair. They all got very embarrassed in that situation but I think it was good he did it really. It’s better to hope someone leaves a tip and have a jar.
Mexico I’ve never felt so ripped off in my whole life I felt I literally had to learn how much everything should cost and what’s a scam constantly to not be massively ripped off. Not just a bit either. A lot of places try and charge the same amount for things that I spend here in London, supposedly one of the most expensive cities in the world. Actually taxis are cheaper in London than they try and charge you in mexico even Haggled lol you can get a bolt here for a 20 minute journey for £10 or something. I’m sure if you live there you learn the ropes but it really put me off I have to be honest.
