It has been a tough year for Steemit and crytpocurrencies in general. The loss of market capital and severe withdrawal from the 2018 high valuations is crushing many blockchain initiatives. Steemit has also been impacted with the major downsizing of Steemit Inc and it's questionable future.
But we are closing 2018 out and are still here. Surviving and yearning to thrive. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. I welcome the new year and all the potential it holds. Blockchain technology has gotten better in the past year, with many new features and alignment to broad adoption across many different industries. More people are aware and using digital currencies than before. Forces are aligning, but we all must play a role.
