Hey there! Thanks for dropping by and for your curiosity – it's always wonderful to meet someone who appreciates the art of storytelling, especially in a niche like wrestling-based role-play!
About MoonChild:
I'm MoonChild, a storyteller with a deep-rooted passion for professional wrestling, narrative creativity, and the dramatic world of storytelling. My journey began with an aspiration to be a comic book writer, but without the artistic talent or means to collaborate with an artist, I found my way into this unique form of storytelling. This wrestling-based role-play series is my way of scratching that creative itch. With the advent of AI, I've been able to integrate artwork into my narratives, bringing a visual dimension to the tales I weave.
Inspiration Behind the Series:
The inspiration for my series comes from a fascination with professional wrestling – its theatrics, larger-than-life characters, and the sheer drama it encapsulates. I wanted to create a universe where these elements are amplified by layers of personal struggles, corporate intrigue, supernatural phenomena, and controversial political themes. The world of Ultimate Wrestling is a dark mirror of our own, reimagined with a comic book science-fiction spin. It's a space where heroics, rivalries, and personal journeys unfold in and out of the ring.
It's also a world where we explore what these larger-than-life characters would be like in the world and how they would handle society's biggest problems. What does the Undertaker do when he's not wrestling? How would he feel about January 6th?
Why Hive?
I chose Hive for its vibrant and diverse community, a platform where creativity is celebrated and niche interests find a voice. Posting here allows me to connect with readers with a passion for wrestling, storytelling, and creative expression. However, we have struggled, I think, to find a community, and we were kicked out of InkWell because we were not a short story form of writing. I feel like we are still working toward finding an audience here.
E-Fed Explained:
An E-Fed, or Electronic Federation, is a form of online role-playing centered around professional wrestling. In my E-Fed, writers create characters with distinct personas, backstories, and in-ring styles. These writers craft role-plays for their characters, delving into their narratives and interactions. As the author, I use these role-plays as inspiration, weaving them into the broader storyline of each wrestling episode and determining the outcomes of matches based on creativity, character development, and integration into ongoing storylines.
Every episode, though, has storylines that affect the world that Ultimate Wrestling exists in, so not everything is about wrestling. This is where I get to scratch that comic book itch and tell stories that take place outside the squared circle.
Community and Support:
I'm thrilled to hear about the wrestling-related community here and am eager to engage with them! Finding a space where this unique blend of storytelling and wrestling is appreciated and shared is truly exciting.
Cheers, and thanks for the !PIZZA!
If you dive into the series, I hope you enjoy the ride through the unique world of Ultimate Wrestling – a world of heroics, drama, and a dark reflection of our own.
