This was an entry into the challenge made by @Clove71. But seems it never really got far. I do not know what I am doing wrong in terms of posting on this site.. I see people post and within one hour, they've got a ton of people replying or upvoting or even resharing..
First off, let me state that I am only 1 and a half months into playing (roughly) and I am absolutely loving it!
The main reasons I love it are quite simple..
1: The community! I have been reading some awesome posts about how to set up teams, use logic and purpose when creating the teams as well as who not to use lol.
2: The challenge of the battles, they are mostly luck with me in terms of winning. Not to mention winning actual DEC when you do win.
3: The thrill of the hunt when opening packs. I have opened probably 240 packs, chasing those elusive and dangerous cards.
Along the way, I pulled a Legendary Gold Foil Legionnaire Alvar. I was overjoyed. I had to use the opportunity to withdraw some of the money from selling him to pay some of my overdue bills (like many) as well as turn some of the profit into more packs.
When I did that, I pulled another Legendary Gold Foil. Iza the Fanged! So I did what any normal / insane (depending on who you ask) would do. I sold her to pay more bills and buy more packs. Unfortunately the second time I bought packs, I was not so lucky and was back at square one.
Feeling down, I set my sights on getting ahold of those "Fiends". Along the way, I got ahold of a couple common and rare Gold Foils, but nothing to scream about. The last pack opened during that hunt.. got me a Scorch Fiend!
The next 2 weeks, I had my head buried in my phone, hunting and praying for the others. Each pack opened, was a disappointment for the most part. Vicious cycle of opening, selling, opening and selling. Finally, when I had enough DEC, I did the smart thing.. I went on marketplace and bought the rest lol.
That was a tough hunt. Stupid on my part. Spend 40 hunting for them, when I couldve spent 30-35. Now that I got them, I am at a loss on who to hunt for now..
This game has brought back Nastalgic memories of when I was younger, playing YuGiOh, Magic the Gathering, Pokemon, Digimon and others.
For that, I am beyond grateful. Thank you, for bringing my childhood memories back.
It has made my life better in a way.. A way that is hard to describe. I have been more talkative with others (I suffer from severe Anxiety, ADHD and depression). I am happier and am enjoying the little things alot more.
