Jasminum sambac is an evergreen vine of highly variable species, possibly as a result of spontaneous mutation, autopolyploidy & natural hybridization.
Cultivated Jasminum sambac in general do not bear seeds & the plant is reproduced solely by cuttings, marcotting, layering & other methods of asexual propagation.
They are very smooth ‘glabrous’ except for a few hairs at the venation on the base of the green leaf & the flowers bloom all throughout the year & are produced in clusters of 4 to 12 together at the ends of branches.
