I used Bitcoin 1 time to send some fiat from coinbase through
@blocktrades. Never again have i used Bitcoin.
What is your preferred way for buying cryptos then? I am lucky enough my exchange use bulk tx for withdrawing BTC and ETH so confirmation time isn't too abysmal. The fees hurts as bad as any exchange though.
I still have around 20 USD in that wallet set to sell but its just so idiotically convoluted i just cant take the time to cancel the trade and move the funds to an exchange. Ill probably leave the Obyte to rot there.
Damn, not even free 20 USD can entice you? That's gotta be horrible.
theres literally nothing of any value built on TRON.
The deal with Bittorrent will bring value if it actually delivers what was promised (it probably won't). Even it does, creating an entire new BTT token instead of just using TRX is a massive blunder. Finally TRX will have a use case, of course it won't. Tron is just poor man's ETH with extra steps. (nowhere near as much useful smart contracts while having energy and bandwidth headache).
ETC has 200 users total by their own metrics
Holy shit, by that metric each user on that network worth 3 million USD with it's current market cap!
All these top blockchains are just "paper tigers" that offer almost nothing of value outside the base "its a blockchain".
Preach! The market is a complete joke right now but as the industry eventually. matures only projects with real value can stay.
DGB is alright. Multiple mining algos, fast, negligible tx fees, and have very loyal community. Still, nothing of value built there though. So it's basically Steem with no governance issues but no useful/interesting dapps, no PoB, and smaller community (actual one, not only people looking for gains). I think it's a bad investment though so I don't hold it.
All privacy coins has a distinct use case too. More of the dilutes each other though.
However, I can tell you chains to avoid that you haven't mentioned above so you don't have to bother ;)
XRP - Duh.
XLM - Poor man's XRP
IOTA - For heaven's sake, I can't even complete a test transfer with their online wallet WTF.
BAT - Mandatory exchange KYC in order to earn from it. I have no idea why it's a crypto at all instead of just centralized platform. Not even all centralized shit have mandatory KYC. I am saying this as brave browser user.
IOST - Poor man's EOS (That's really REALLY bad)
WAVES - Poor man's ETH with fixed tx fee.
BTS - Fuck the UI and UX.
That's it from top 100. Some others are already buried.
For non-investment use case I am keeping an eye on PegNet. It's still veeery new but it aims to be integrated to multiple chains. If we can eventually marry it with Steem the issue with SBD is no more. Swapping currencies has fixed fee of $0.001 USD. But of fucking course the first chain it aims to integrate with is ETH.
Phew, that's long.
